From Terminal 5 — where British Airways operates all its long-haul flights from North America — the journey to a Mayfair hotel takes 35–50 minutes in normal traffic. Early morning arrivals (before 7am) regularly complete the journey in under 30 minutes.

Mayfair's Georgian street grid is deceptively complex. Many of its most famous addresses — Carlos Place (The Connaught), Brook Street (Claridge's), Aldford Street (Hyatt Regency) — are on short residential streets with controlled parking and specific loading arrangements. A driver unfamiliar with the area will circle on the surrounding one-way system (Park Lane → Grosvenor Square → Duke Street → Oxford Street) losing 10–15 minutes on a journey that should take 2 minutes from the kerb.

  Park Lane, W1K 1QA. Approach via Park Lane southbound from Marble Arch. The covered forecourt entrance is on Park Lane directly — one of the easier central London hotel arrivals. Luggage porters meet vehicles immediately.
• The Connaught
  Carlos Place, W1K 2AL. The most complex approach in Mayfair. Enter Carlos Place from Grosvenor Square (north side). Attempting to enter from Mount Street creates a difficult turn and potential one-way conflict. The entrance courtyard is small — vehicles drop and move immediately.
• Four Seasons Park Lane
  Hamilton Place, W1J 7DR. Enter via Hamilton Place off Park Lane. The dedicated arrival bay is on the right immediately after turning. One of the smoother hotel drop-offs in Mayfair.
• The Ritz London
  150 Piccadilly, W1J 9BR. The covered forecourt faces Piccadilly — approach from Green Park tube end (eastbound on Piccadilly). The Ritz is at the Green Park junction; the covered arrival bay is clearly visible.
• 45 Park Lane (Dorchester Collection)
  45 Park Lane, W1K 1PN. Small exclusive entrance directly on Park Lane, opposite Hyde Park. Approach northbound on Park Lane from Hyde Park Corner. Very discreet — only the number plate identifies it from the street.
• InterContinental London Park Lane
  One Hamilton Place, W1J 7QY. Shared vicinity with the Four Seasons at Hamilton Place. Large hotel with a busier arrival bay — generally straightforward.
• The Beaumont
  Brown Hart Gardens, W1K 6TF. One of Mayfair's best-kept secrets. Enter via Brown Hart Gardens off Duke Street. Very quiet, very private. The approach is unusual — many drivers miss the entrance on first visit.

Black cab: Available at every terminal's taxi rank. Metered — a Heathrow to Mayfair journey is £60 fixed — no meter, no surge. In contrast, a black caboking, no guaranteed vehicle type. The driver may not know your specific hotel entrance. Accepts card payment. No flight monitoring — you must find the taxi rank yourself.

Uber: Available at Heathrow via the app. Requires an active UK SIM or roaming data immediately on arrival. Price varies — typically £45–£120 depending on surge pricing and demand. Uber vehicles are not pre-assigned to your flight. Driver quality varies significantly. No meet and greet in the arrivals hall — you walk to a designated pickup point.
