The seven undulating cliff tops (Haven Brow, Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Baily's Hill, and Went Hill) form the centrepiece of the Seven Sisters Country Park, with the dramatic Beachy Head headland (162m) located a short distance to the east. The area is approximately 80 miles from London — 90 minutes via the A22/A27.
The classic Seven Sisters walk runs 11 miles from Cuckmere Haven to Eastbourne along the cliff top, with views across the English Channel to France on clear days. A shorter 5-mile circuit from the Cuckmere Haven car park to Haven Brow and back is popular with day visitors. Your driver drops at Cuckmere Haven (Seven Sisters Country Park car park, BN25 4AD) and either waits or collects at Birling Gap (for the half-circuit) or Eastbourne (for the full walk).
Beachy Head (BN20 7YA) is the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain at 162m. The view from the cliff edge looking down to the Beachy Head Lighthouse (built on a rock ledge in 1902) is one of the most iconic English coastal images. It is a 15-minute drive from the Seven Sisters.
Seven Sisters is just 25 miles east of Brighton — easily combined for a full coastal day: Brighton morning, Cuckmere Haven/Seven Sisters afternoon. Return to London via the A22 in approximately 90 minutes.
