πΊπΈ Travelling from the US? Here's what you need to know
Most US flights arrive at Heathrow Terminal 5 (British Airways, American Airlines) or Terminals 2/3 (United, Delta, Virgin Atlantic). After landing and clearing UK Border Control, you'll collect your bags and exit through customs into the arrivals hall β where your driver will be waiting with your name on a board.
We understand the anxiety of landing in a foreign city after an 8-hour transatlantic flight. That's why we make the process as simple as possible β book online before you leave, receive instant confirmation, and find your driver waiting with your name when you exit arrivals. No apps to download on arrival, no surge pricing, no language barrier.
Our vehicles are 100% electric Mercedes EQ β quieter, smoother, and greener than conventional taxis, with spacious cabins for transatlantic luggage allowances.
Can I book from the US before I fly?
Yes β we recommend it. Book online and you'll receive instant email confirmation with your driver's name and contact details. No need to arrange anything on arrival in London.
Do you accept American credit cards?
Yes β Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are all accepted. Prices are in GBP and your card will convert at your bank's exchange rate. No foreign transaction fees from our side.
Which terminal will I arrive at from the US?
British Airways and American Airlines use Terminal 5. United Airlines uses Terminal 2. Delta and Virgin Atlantic use Terminal 3. Check your boarding pass and specify the terminal when booking.
How long does US customs and immigration take at Heathrow?
UK Border Control (passport control) typically takes 20β45 minutes for non-EU passport holders. Baggage collection adds another 15β30 minutes. We include 60 minutes of free waiting time from landing, so there's no rush.
Is Uber reliable at Heathrow from the US?
Uber operates at Heathrow but surge pricing can make it 2β3x more expensive during busy periods. You also need a UK or international SIM to use it. A pre-booked fixed-price transfer removes both of those uncertainties entirely.
Can you take us to Oxford or Cambridge from Heathrow?
Yes β both are popular with American visitors and academics. Oxford is 45β60 minutes from Heathrow (from Β£90). Cambridge is 90β110 minutes (from Β£110). Both routes are door-to-door, no train connections needed.
Beyond the airport transfer, we also offer day trips and multi-stop private tours for American visitors exploring Britain. Our most popular US visitor routes:
